Loudonville Lion Dash

The Tradition Continues with the 6th Running of the Loudonville Lion Dash! 

Event Information:

• This year, the Lion Dash will be held in-person at the Crossings Park of Colonie on Thursday, May 12th. Registered participants will be able to race alongside their friends and peers on the half-mile (K and 1st grade) or mile (2nd through 5th grade) course. Below is the tentative schedule: 
• Last Minute Registration: 5pm-5:30 pm
• Participant-Wide Warm-Up: 5:30pm-5:45pm
• Pre-K Cub Crawl (0.10 Mile): 5:45pm
• Kindergarten and 1st Grade 0.5 Mile: 6:00pm
• 2nd and 3rd Grade 1 Mile: 6:15pm
• 4th and 5th Grade 1 Mile: 6:30pm
• Award Ceremony: 7:00pm

• The Start/Finish Line area will be located near the South Pavilion, which is at the end of the park's driveway from Albany Shaker Road. Arrive early to avoid missing your race. Plan extra time to account for traffic and parking. The races may be run slightly ahead of schedule.

Only current students of Loudonville Elementary School should be registered in the 0.5 mile or 1 mile races. Younger siblings or relatives of students can participate in the Pre-K Cub Crawl (0.1 Mile). No registration is needed for the Cub Crawl, but you may purchase an extra race t-shirt on the registration page.

How to Register:

For your convenience, pre-registration will be completed online at: https://loudonvilleld.itsyourrace.com

• Register by April 15th to guarantee a race t-shirt in the size that you desire.
• There will be a $3.50 additional fee for each online transaction.
• No registration is required for the Pre-K Cub Crawl (0.1 Mile).
• Last Minute Registration will be available at the park on the day of the event. A race t-shirt cannot be guaranteed for those who register after April 15th or on race day.

Key Information:

Please register, Loudonville Elementar students only, before April 15th so that we may order the correct number of race t-shirts. 

• If you are interested in donating to the PTA without registering a runner, you can do so on the registration page. 
• If you would like to participate but need help with the registration fees, please reach out to Abbey North for assistance.

Awards:

For each grade category (K-1, 2-3, and 4-5) and for each gender (M and F) four individuals will receive an award and/or a prize:

• First Place Runner: Albany Ninja Lab Bag and Bracelet, 1 Free Open Gym Certificate and 1 50% Off Open Gym Token for the Albany Ninja Lab, 1st Place Medal and Certificate
• Second Place Runner: Albany Ninja Lab Water Bottle and Bracelet, 1 Free Open Gym Certificate for the Albany Ninja Lab, 2nd Place Medal and Certificate
• Third Place Runner: 3rd Place Medal and Certificate
• By a Random Draw: Albany Ninja Lab Bracelet, Albany Ninja Lab Sticker and 50% Off Open Gym Token for the Albany Ninja Lab
